I've been getting deep carry clips for all my Spyderco folders for awhile now. I just like them better than the regular clips that come on Spyderco folders except for their deep carry wire clips like on my Sage 3 or Caly 3.5. My old American Lawman has been relegated to the bottom of my EDC list and I haven't carried it in months now. The 2015 Catalog showed up and has renewed my interest in Cold Steel but I just can't get used to my old American Lawman not carrying as deep as my Spydies with the deep carry clips.
I don't mind having to buy them as an extra, but I wish companies would take notice. I see this sort of "want" a lot on the boards, even among my friends and coworkers. It just feels more secure in my pocket and I've never had one pop out of my pocket while kneeling or bending down. I'm a mechanic so bending down happens a whole lot. I've had it happen with my Cold Steel twice and a few other folders. While it's not a horrible thing, I'd hate to not notice and loose a beloved folder, even if it was $100 or less.
I did a google search and couldn't come up with anything except a reddit blurb but even that was inconclusive. I've been holding back on getting a new Cold Steel because I might end up not carrying it. I would think by now someone at Cold Steel would have come up with one. I'm willing to pay extra even, I'm just really surprised my two favorite manufacturers haven't started offering this. The demand is high enough for aftermarket deep carry clips that someone here on BF (Casey Lynch) seems to have started a small business making them for Spyderco folders. I've bought a few for my favorite Spydies and they're great, so now I'm spoiled
So does anyone know where I can get them or if they're in the works from Cold Steel?
