The goal of every folding karambit that I have ever seen is to put the mounting holes for the knife lower than the ring so that the user can access the knife by the ring and pull it out of pocket. Not many folding karambits offer a change from that configuration. The only production one folding karambit that I know of that will allow a "deeper" carry is the Fox Knives FX-490 Chiroptera Karambit. [I routinely carry and recommend this knife.]
It allows for a deeper carry by having a four position pocket clip carry. The position that you would have to use with it would be "tip down" carry. The ring would sit in your pocket and you would pull it out like any other tip down carry knife. If you want an idea of how deep a knife will sit, visually note how much of the knife is exposed above the drill holes for the pocket clip.
Come to think of it, the C84P that you have might be tip up/tip down carry, though I don't see a square insert for the clip on the other screw. If it had one, you could unscrew your clip from one end and put it on the other side near the blade, like I can with my Chiroptera and draw it with the ring down. You aren't as fortunate with the C170G, it only does tip up for sure.
With the two folding models that you have, the clip sizes do not really matter with regard to how low they sit. The ring is going to show in tip up carry because of where the holes are and unless you are going to have the holes re-tapped higher on both knives [wouldn't suggest doing that], there is nothing that you can do about it.
Hope that wasn't too much info at once, and I hope it helps.
Karambits are cool.
