Hello everyone,

I want to upgrade my edc. Here are my requests:

-I am canadian and currently living in Québec, so people are not used to see someone carrying a blade(thats why I need a deep carry clip). I am looking for a non-agrassive looking kinfe. Deending of my daily activities here are my 3 most carried 1-spyderco delica 4 ffg vg10 black clip 2-sog falsh 2 (without the spring assit 3- buck vantage select)
-30$ to 80$ is my price range, if its a realy cool blade I can afford a bit more expensive
-If the model comes with a black clip,I really dig them.
-2 to 4 inches blade lenth
-Locking plain edge blade
And any other criteria you judge pertinant.

thanks so much for your help.

Spyderco Sage 1. It is a bit more than $80 (maybe find one on here for that cheap), but with its black wire deep carry clip and carbon fiber scales, it has a classy nice look, not an overly aggressive look. Plus, it is not too large with a blade length right at 3". Many people love this knife, all the Sage's really, and I do not think you can go wrong with it.

Any of Spyderco's knives with a wire clip should be much less visible than a regular stamped clip.

When I'm worried about people noticing my knife I carry my Sage 4, in addition to having a wire clip it's far less 'tactical' looking with it's bolsters and wood handles than even a carbon fiber knife (In my opinion).

You could also get one of the black Spyderco clips and put it on your delica if the one on it is silver, you can order them directly from Spyderco. I don't like polished clips and I usually switch them to black ones for the same (perceived?) reason.

The Sage 1 is a great choice for sure:

Sageisa good idea. What about the locking mecanism, frame, liner or bearing

Sage 1: Carbon Fiber w/liner black wire clip average about $100

Sage 2: Titanium R.I.L. (frame lock) polished wire clip average about $150

Sage 3: Blue G10, Bolt Action lock, similar action to an axis lock polished wire clip average about $125

Sage 4: Wood w/titanium bolsters lockback black wire clip average about $190

All CPM S30V blade steel which is an excellent all around steel

Spyderco Sage Series, or a Spyderco UKPK.
The UKPK is a non locking blade.
You can get it in several flavors but for your price range - FRN or G-10.
It's a wonderful knife.
If you get FRN you're getting Gin-1 or CTS-BD1 steel which are both pretty good.
Or if you get G-10 you get s30v.
Deep carry wire clip.

i'm telling you buddy, get a plain titanium or smooth carbon fiber-handled folder. FRN and g-10 in your pocket feel like your pocket's lined with sandpaper. bad if your knife has to share pocket space with phones, keys, purses, lighters, etc.
