Deep carry pocket clip

I've been searching for info on a deep carry clip for Hinderer knives but to no avail. Is anyone making/supplying such a thing? Thanks!
 
BF member STR makes deep carry pocket clips. I have never had him make one for me, but he has a great rep around here. You'll have to ask him if he makes a low rider for Hinderers.

I seem to recall that the inline screws of the Hinderer clip and the inset design of the clip attachment point both make manufacturing a low rider clip for the Hinderer problematic.

Contacted Steve and he doesn't make clips for Hinderers. Any other leads? Thank you!

Not without modification of the ZTs clip. While the holes seem to be spaced apart from one another similarly to an XM (used 3.5 for test), the ZTs clip is too wide to fit in the Hinderer's clip pocket.

Photo shows the Hinderer filler tab placed onto the mounting surface of the ZT 0560/0561 clip.

Maybe if you used longer screws to attatchthe ZT clip it could be mounted atop the filler, but I would not do this.

Even if you grind the ZT clip to fit the pocket, it will not fill the pocket. It likely won't really look "right".
 
Thanks for all the research! Looks like a nice niche market for a forums member *hint hint*. Maybe someone "influential" could make the suggestion to Rick to add to his accessories list?
 
The XMs pocket clip is not a "deep carry" clip but it doesn't ride too high either. I prefer having a little bit of the butt end sticking out for easy access and draw.
Next to the Sebenzas pocket clip the Hinderer clip is one of my favorites. It doesn't bulge out too much so the ergos of the knife are not compromised. And its nice
and secure but still easy to slip in and out of the pocket.
 
Stupid question, but is the Hinderer pocket clip tab smaller than the one on the ZT560? I saw a couple of posts where people were able to use the Hinderer clip on the ZT560.
 
Yeah, take a look at the photo from N2K. Looks like you could go Hinderer to ZT but not vice versa.
 
I'd still love to see Hinderer come out with a deep carry clip. What do you say Rob? I wouldn't be the only customer!!!!
 
XM clips do fit on the 0560/0561. But ZT deep carry clips do not fit the XM...see my above post with photos and such. Someone could place the clip on top of the XMs filler tab, but I WOULD NOT.

Thanks for the information. I've never owned a Hinderer, but the ZT560 with Carbon Fiber and S110V composite blade looks very interesting. The deep carry clip was my only knock against it.

There is a ZT560 with S110V?
 
I have swapped 560 clip with XM-18 with no modifications. They are interchangeable. It did look a bit out of place on XM-18, but worked just fine.
I actually had the side-by-side comparisom photos on this forum, but since there was no interest, deleted the photos on the photobucket.
I find that XM-18 rides low enough with the original clip, and certainly looks a world better with it.
