Deer Knife

I had 2 knives that I'm considering taking with me my first time Deer hunting and they are the Spyderco Moran and my Case Ridgeback hunter with rosewood handles, I know the Moran has better steel than the Case but the Case is just so nice and it has a leather sheath and the Moran has a Kydex which is really nice too.

Just my 2 cents but I'd take VG-10 over Case stainless every time. The Spyderco Moran is an excellent knife for dressing out Texas Whitetail. (now it it were Case Chrome Vanadium vs. VG-10, that would be a little tougher decision to make - )

Take them both and dip them in a mix of chocolate syrup and Crisco and then handle each one with your eyes closed. Your hand will tell you which one to carry out there and poke around in a deer's guts.
