Whitetail deer leg bone. Beats me which one:D This one took some time getting cleaned up. Got it the best I could. I don't mind the flaws though, gives it character. I gave this one a deep lanyard hole for a change. Aluminum tube as well.

Fire steel is 4" long x 3/8" thick. After setting it up, about 3 1/2" are left sticking out.

That's a nice full grip, good to see that for a change. You need to take photos of your complete kit-firesteels, khuksas, coffee bags, etc. Also, have you had any experience with making traditional scandinavian salt bags?

Okay ... now you're just showing off and rubbing it in our faces ;)

Great looking piece

I have seen all your individual threads-I mean put them all in a picture together so we can see the entire kit

The salt pouch style I'm referring to they used to sell on Cloudberry Market, though I guess they ran out. It almost looked like a small goatskin wine bladder, with a small wooden mouth and cork style plug. I wish I'd have saved a picture...

If you ever see it again, be sure to send me the link.

Looks great! What did you finish the bone with? I have an antler piece with a small brow tine that is just begging to be made into a firesteel holder - good thing I got some more in today!

I finish them off with about 5 coats of spray on shellac. Makes for a nice shine;)
