Deer season a drag???

Well, this season has been very slow. Too much mast on the ground and not enough cold weather have mixed to create a season here in my part of TX where the deer really aren't moving very much. Lots of acorns on the ground is good for the deer, but not so much for the deer hunters. But, these two acorn vacuums came by my stand with a bunch of their friends. I probably will not see the rest of the group until next season. They may be a plague but they can sure liven up a slow morning...

I've seen only one small buck this year. Lots of squirrels and a few turkey have wandered by but nothing like the two you have, congrats bro!

Man, those are some nice looking hogs! I haven't been hunting in years, but this makes me want to start again.

Congrats! I will be going hog hunting for the first time this year. Mainly just do deer, turkey, rabbit, squirrel. I did take three big doe early on this season during muzzleloading and the first week of firearm. Been waiting for a buck now and only five weekends left.

Good looking hogs.

Keep the freezer full,

Great hogs. My deer season was a drag too, so I'll be hunting those "acorn vacuums" for the next 6 months or so. That black one is quite the handsome boar. I'm sure he was popular with the ladies. :-)

That "boar" is in fact a sow. She may have been popular with the ladies as she did not show tell tale signs of ever having a litter of piglets... The barnes bullet didn't seem to care as it went in one's side (the large one) and out the other's.

I thought I saw her on the Ellen Degeneres Show. :-) Nice that she's a sow. Better tasting. Those are some tusks on her, too!
