Deer Season

I always wanted to know how the hemp wrap Fiddlebacks would do with blood/guts. Well after field dressing my Son's deer tonight, I was more than impressed. Just a little antibacterial soap and hot water, after completely dry a coating of mineral oil on the blade and back to new.

That was a surprise. I don't own any hemp wrapped blades but I was sure the blood would stain or discolor it a little. Thanks for the pics!

Couple final pictures to round out day two and this year's deer season. The Deer love this knife so much they wanted to field dress themselves 😉

Love the pics bro! I hope to have something to share in a few weeks.

Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks for the kind words and allowing me to share with you all.
The best part of deer season is getting away and sharing the experience with our 13 year old son. Which he enjoys spending quality time with his Dad away from his little brother at home with the Wife for two weekends 😊

Awesome pictures! Thanks for sharing. Here's my buck from yesterday and the knife I used to field dress and debone him.

Love the shots guys! First season came and went for me this past weekend without putting any meat on the ground but I did have a couple nice hunts with deer activity around me.

Hoping I can add to this thread second season!

Cool pics, like seeing how the hemp wrap held up to blood, guts, and clean up. Congrats to you and your son.

I finally got a doe and some meat for the freezer. It's currently hanging up in the garage for a few days and will be skinned/deboned with my Fiddlebacks. :) This deer season was really frustrating but I'm glad to have something.

Nice! Does usually make for much better eating than bucks...

Skinned out with the Handyman

Deboned with the patch

Wrapped and ready for the freezer

Man someone needs to teach me the ways of deer hunting... been a lifelong dream of mine but not to many hunters in the Korean community
