Anybody know of any deer skin gloves that fit snug. I hate work gloves that cause a lack of dexterity, but I don't think you can beat deer on your hands. Also in the market for new field boots. Looking for something that is good for work and hunting- preferably leather. Any suggestions are appreciated. I only have cash to buy once.

I'd be interested too on this, specifically gloves. The leather gloves I've seen near me are either too big for me(fairly skinny fingers so my hands swim in the gloves) or the material is too thin to be a real work glove.

I don't know of any, but another option would be to look for kangaroo leather gloves.
The highest quality soccer shoes are made of kangaroo leather due to how soft, strong and thin it is.
Just another idea for you.
If you find something let us know...the cow leather work gloves are good for protection but you have no dexterity.

I haven't found any other gloves that are as thin and better fitting than kangaroo leather (Geier gloves). I have been using a pair as work gloves, cutting/chopping wood, clearing thorns and brush, etc. They've also been soaked and dried without getting brittle and stiff. These are kind of expensive, but they are Geier kangaroo driving gloves. I have a pair dedicated to my backpacking kit and absolutely love them...I just wish I could find them cheaper!

Another vote for kangaroo leather. It is 5x stronger than cow hide of the same thickness. Cabelas sells kangaroo leather gloves with a thin felt lining that are very nice and very affordable. I feel that I have more dexterity with these gloves than I do with unlined deer skin gloves from the same merchant.

I have a pair the brand is eagle somthing they are very flexible and fit like latex gloves,
ill see if i can find a link online.

EDIT: found em here

unless your motorcycle racing, IDK if kangaroo skin is justifiable price wise if you intend to really put them to work and thrash them. In anycase, I have a pair of Wells Lamont Ultra Deerskin Gloves from walmart and they fit great, feel super smooth, and are pretty cheap considering the quality you get. I'm not afriad to actually use them to move lumbar and my tools around with them...

Cabelas has them for 20 bucks

Goatskin is second to kangaroo in the research I did. I got an unlined pair for around 18$ at an (overpriced) feed store.

The absolute best gloves I've ever worn are the Deer Tours from Fox Creek Leather.

They're a motorcycle glove, but the supple fit and dexterity are amazing.

i have a pair of the cabelas kangaroo shooting gloves and love them
thin with gortex

+1 - I also have a pair for 'dressier' kangaroo glove from Cabelas I wear with a brown leather jacket in the winter. Nice tight fit with good dexterity......

Im not sure what kind of leather they are made of but I 've had good luck with handball gloves. Very good dext. and pretty tough to boot. Should be easy to find and relatively cheap. Good discussion.
