Trav, I order "earth tones" and black. The earth tones are all shades of brown from dark tan to dark brown and anything in between. Any of the earth tones will go with any of the Wickett&Craig colors, Russet, Chestnut, Brown and the black, of course is for the W&C black. I only buy about 10% black, but it does go nicely with the Chestnut and Brown also, particularly with a black inlay.

It sells for around $3.00 per square foot and the hides will average out 7 to 10 square feet. I generally buy whatever it takes to fill a USPS medium flat rate box and that will vary from 8 to 10 hides. My average order runs about $250 to $275. I specify thin and well tanned without tanning blemishes but holes in the hide are okay with me because I can work around those. If i was making garments it would e a different story.
