Just finished this Puukko today different than the Sami Puukko in that it is a little narrower and doesn't have the pommel. This is modeled after the traditional puukko we all know and love.

Model: Puukko
Steel: 3/32" O1 tool steel
Blade: 3 7/8", heat test finish, shearing hole
Handle: Curly birch, red liners, three SS lanyard tubesImageUploadedByTapatalk1411442745.260779.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1411442759.902084.jpg

I received this knife and used it in camp its first day for near ten hours on and off while doing chores. Extremely comfortable and slices through wood better than any knife I have used. Have used it every day since as well, in camp and out, and it holds a great edge. Couldn't be happier with the knife.
I will be doing a full review of it soon.

Thanks. The shearing hole was requested by the customer. You are suppose to use it as a hinge point by inserting a nail into it on a board. This will give you a paper cutter type action. It is suppose to aid in cutting large quantities of things like small pegs. Mors Kochanski's idea featured on his knife by Rob Garcia, "The Skookum Bush Tool". Hope that helps
