DEET and Handles?

I was wondering if anyone knows if Micarta/G10 handles have had any adverse reaction to DEET? Have a BWM with Black G10 handles.

Going into the woods soon and will be using DEET based insect repellants.

micarta is impervious to damage from most compounds. People have soaked micarta in deet, acetone, paint stripper etc with no effect.

yep, they're not called nuclear tough for no reason. Res C handles were soaked in deet to no effect as well:thumbup:

I have seen it etch into Kydex though. So if your sheath is Kydex try not to get to much on there.:thumbup:

DEET has never harmed the G10 handles of my Busse knives, either.

Nor the Resiprene-C handles of my Swamprat knives and my Scrapyard knives.
