Defect or Typical, Pentagon Serration

I picked up a Pentagon this week and the serrations are off, kinda stubby towards the handle. Do you think I should send it in to SOG? Would it be covered under entreaty? *I know these pics are large but I wanted the detail to show*

im really not fond of them. it just seems weird to stick them on a dagger like this

Looks like a legitimate factory defect to me.

Well I e-mailed SOG and the person I talked didn't see what I trying to explain/show in the picture. Non the less, I shipped it off to SOG today, so we'll see.
