The Defender’s Short Sword
Hi all. Just finished this custom order. Will be adding to the website soon and doing a video.

Shop Details:
1095 High Carbon Spring Steel. Steel is Heat Hardened & quenched in oil. Heat Tempered @ 500 degrees for 2 hours, and letting it air cool.

Measurements:
Total Length = 31 ½ ”
Blade Length = 22 ½ “
Blade Width = 2 7/8” widest
Blade Thickness = 3/16 “
Handle Length = 9 ”
Handle Width = 1 ½ “ widest
Handle: Black Micarta
Weight = 2 lb

Thank you. The balance is about 4" from the hilt. It feels great when you swing it!
 
Thats a lethal scimitarish looking beast.

Looks like it would slice very effectively...
 
Very cool, Im not to fond of big samurai swords, katanas and stuff similar to those but I really like this style of larger blades.

As a new knifemaker this is really inspiring!

I'm not a katana fan either, and this one feels quite a bit different. With the long handle you can get some serious swinging out of it.
