This is my new knife.
The inspiration dates from Walter Brend knives (he is my authority on this
subject).
Micarta is my production - Glass Green.
Steel - D2 / 61 HRC.
Thickness 6mm,
blade length - 174mm,
pins and hole - brass,
false edge sharpe.

 Very nice work, sir. You can definitely see the Brend in that one, and you certainly did his name justice. Gorgeous.

Oh Man! That's love at first site. Are you selling it? I would like one for myself. Beautiful piece of work.

Excellent lines, in the blade profile, the grinds, and most especially in the handle. Looks like it would just melt into my hand!

Isn't that a beauty? Wow! You can defintely see the Brend inspiration, and I don't think that is a bad thing at all.

Incredible grind lines!

And it's nice to see, that others also "cook" their own micarta. :D

OK, I'll bite: how exactly do you make micarta?? I though it took more heat and pressure than you normally find except in a factory.

Heat is not needed. Just take a resin, that hardens at normal temperatures and your favorite piece of cloth (cotton, linen,...). Soak the cloth, 20-25 layers should be enough, press them between two boards. You need to rub or spray some wax or something on the surface of the board, otherwise the epoxy will stick to that too.
It is a very messy process, but there are almost no limits concerning color and pattern. :D

Thanks, Jester.
I'm faintly speak english, but this is it, what I do:
1. I driping rags with epoxy resin and acetone (for thin down)
2. another event layer tighten with rolling cylinder and when I finish overall clamping tight
3. I waiting 24h and next...
4. whole sandwitch i put to oven (100 st. celsius), few hours (about 4-5 times)
5. On a week micarta is done

Defender is sold :D
But next (for sale) coming soon... :)
I don't know when... maybe August?
This is big knife, a lot of work, hand work.
A lot of pain, my fingers cry ;)

Beautiful work, Bona! That's is a gorgeous knife! Really nice, flowing lines.

That knife has got curves like a Miss Universe. You just can't take your eyes off it!

Bona, YOU ROCK !!!!
this one kicks asses, and you can really be proud of what you have done.
You're frankly gifted.
