What do you guys think are the best uses for each?

This might be fun as each person might have a different opinion on each blade.

Please list the model and what it's best used for.

Thanks
Roger

Does it count if my girlfriend likes to be spanked with a Battle Mistress

despite the previous 2 posts I would not recommend spanking any large bears, though if you must the battle mistress would be the knife of choice.

seriously I think they're all multi-purpose blades, not designed with any one use in mind but able to do whatever is asked of them. It's just a matter of how much weight you want to carry. SH balances at the index finger,I'd imagine the BM is farther forward

Alright guys.....I can't believe that no one can give me an opinion on this.....hmmmmm...

They really are multi-purpose knives. But if I had to break it down into the jobs they are best at. The BM and SH2 are you more powerful choppers. The do everything else well also. The NO is the knife. It's the field knife. Average size for any task. The badger and mean street (may she rest in peace) are your utility ( I'm gonna poke at that) knives. You keep them in your bag and use them for just about anything from a finger nail pick to a self defense tool. Thats at least how I would break them down into groups.

First impressions are usually the scale by which we are judged unless we make our second with something sharp and pointy.

The Battle Mistress is the perfect replacement for a machette or an ax. It excels in chopping and clearing brush. The NO is better suiter to tasks which require more control such as sharpening sticks, cleaning game, cutting fabric, etc. The Steel Heart does everthing well, and is the best choice if you can only take one knife with you.

I am happy to hear that, since I have the Steelheart II. My impression, as well. I am sure I CAN do the ordinary things I usually do with smaller knives, just as I CAN do things I'd normally reserve for a hand ax or heavy machete. Sure I COULD do 95% of it with a smaller/lesser knife, but I LIKE the Steelheart. Stick some survival items in the sheath pocket, and it's a real "Rambo Knife."
