Definitely NOT employee of the month

It is hard to keep a fox out of the hen house. Looks like this fox's hide is destined for the barn door.

Very interesting. Chuck was an excellent sales rep, one of the best in the business and certainly better than who they have now. When he quit and went to Tool Logic I lost track of him because I had no interest in opening an account at TL. If he embezzelled that much money, it makes me wonder why he took a sales job in the industry at all. Seems like he could have retired or moved to Costa Rica or something. I hope the victims, including Cold Steel, are able to collect something. Very interesting, indeed. Thanks for the post.

i'm more surprised actually that cold steel dares to put this on their website.

well, at least they're honest...

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'd disappear and be livin' the good life if that was me. Maybe he had to keep working? I remember Norm MacDonald once said that the only person who wins the lottery and still has to keep working is a crack whore. :D

A number of years ago, some woman in the Chicago area managed to embezzle something like $11 million. When she was arrested, it turned out that she'd invested it all in local real estate -- violating that most basic rule, "take the money and run."

I've often heard this, that once embezzlers find a stream of money, they just can't stop themselves. Ironically, the longer you stay working, the more you're likely to get caught; however, the longer you stay, the more you take.
