Definition of EDC

Every Day Carry.

It means different things to different people. Very few people have an actual "Every" day carry. Usually there are 2 in a rotation at least.

For instance, I carry my Large Sebenza about 90% of the time. It's my EDC. But the other 10% of the time I carry something else. So my Sebenza is really my Almost Every Day Carry. But no one really makes that distinction.

It also applies to anything we gadget oriented types carry such as Handguns, Flashlights, Watches, Pens, etc.

Hope that helps.

EDC to me means what I've got on me. In my trouser pockets or round my neck.
It does not usually mean what I carry in a coat or bag because sometimes I may not have these with me.

I suppose I EDC a wrist watch and E2e+KL1.
At work, I EDC a knife (but carry it in my rucksack to and from work)
After work, I carry an M3T or M6 for the way home.

I suppose EDC could mean that you have it on you when you need it.

For an old fart like me the term "EDC" is fairly
well fixed based on what the years have told me is useful and necessary to have ready at hand at any
time I'm awake. ;)

My Carry has change very little in the last 10 yrs
with an occasional trial of this knife or that .
I stick with what always works best for .....ME:D

Everyone,

EDC is merely a set of initials.

An "Acronym" is an English word made up of the initial letters of other words, e.g. L.A.S.E.R.
