I tried to dye a piece of leather before making a sheath out of it.
I used Fiebings dye (sattle brown)
I cleaned the leather with acetone before dying, but the colour didn't come out even. (spotty, like the dye didn't "grab" everywere)
Fiebings sell a deglazer, should I have used that?
I read about using denatured alcohol. Where I live a blue addative is added, does that leave the leather blue?
