Delay!

My Randall order for November 2008 is now due to be deliverd around late February/Early March!

Model #16, Green Border patrol handle, Nickle Silver Model #1 style hilt, "No sawteeth", Model "C" sheath.

The wait is killing me. I planned to hold out till November but March! ...and I've owned over 30 Randalls before but the wait still kills me!

Yeah, your killin' me here! ...I guess I can wait that long. At least it hasn't been a five year wait. It's an order from Greg Gutcher so it's been less than two years. I remember when you could get a dealer to order you one on his "next' order! Bought quite a few that way. While still an active Army officer, I remember calling the shop and having a #14 picked out of the ten or twelve #14s in the store sales case and having it shipped immediately! I also bought a couple from that case the last time I dropped in to the shop from the conference I was attending in Orlando. ...but that was about ten years ago!

The last catalog I requested was July 2008. It has a delivery date stamped on the back of May 2013! I'll be retired by then. It hurts that as my income goes up, so does the "order to ship" lag!

LOL, Man, isn't that the truth!

I'm gonna do a benefit sale of a Model #1-8 with custom Croc sheath for Greg & Fran, probably in March - the knife was at the shop at the time of their fire last June, boxed for return...the knife and sheath survived and come with a letter from Greg attesting to that.

I spoke w/Greg yesterday, and put in another order while I was at it - scheduled delivery date, March of 2011...
