Delete in the ForSale section not working...

Tried to delete a post that I made but it came back and said `Sorry only forum leaders can delete posts'
Has something changed that we can't delete now?

Yup. People were deleting threads that had active discussions in there.

Apparently it's become a common misconception that the person who starts a thread, owns the thread, and therefore has the right to censor and delete it at their whim. This is not the case.

BladeForums.com owns the threads. The posts belong to their respective authors, not the creator of the thread. As such, until we have had a chance to look at preventing this sort of thing from happening, we've removed the "delete your own post" option.

A way to handle this is to edit your post if the item for some reason needs to be deleted. Simply edit your post to reflect no content or simply state the item sold.

Thanks Mike, I ususally try and keep a clean house, when I do the `BTTT' thing I remove the older `BTTT' posts to keep it tidy.
