While trying to edit a post. I made a second post. Not seeing how to delete it.

You can delete the content of the post (replace the content/text with 'post deleted', 'double post' or similar text, as the editor requires a few characters to be entered before saving/posting), but not the entire post itself. I think mods can do that, but usually it's not necessary if the content of the post is already deleted/edited. And in the cases where they do intervene, they usually just edit the content themselves.
