No deal spotting
Yes, we know you found a great price on the Ninja Disembowel 4000 at SuperPriceMART. We don't care. We'd prefer you support the dealers who support BladeForums.com.
As such, we don't allow deal spotting because otherwise the forums would be a quagmire of "deals" (real or imagined) posted everywhere, or unscrupulous people posting "deals" for non paying dealers. So don't do it.

Oh got it, don't shill for businesses that don't pay the blade forum tax because the forum would become nothing but deal alerts like at every other forum :rolleyes:
 
Also it's not exactly much of a deal. That's a modern made axe that's a Collins in name only.

Sure it can. Not sure why you feel the need to take a dig at me, but I'm very picky about what I carry and only stock items I personally am willing to endorse. The Cold Steels I carry are Taiwanese in manufacture (and a totally different style of tool) whereas these are Mexican, if memory serves correctly. That's about the going rate for those particular axes. Do they work? Yes. But they're a hardware store grade axe with flat handles and soft steel. They're good for use in abusive situations like chopping dirty roots in rocky or sandy soil or lending to a buddy, but I'd not call it a deal, exactly.

In that particular post, yes, the rude "tone" was intentional - he was asking about the rule applying to the link in my signature.

Yes, well I only figured out it was the rule you quoted once I went and found it. Kinda weird way of writing a rule, some kid must have come up with it. I started reading the snark in it and quit reading before I got to the part that was the rule. See, snark is a waste of time to read, lots of people skip it - its usually clever, but of no substance.

Reading sig lines is a waste of time too btw. No one follows links in your sig line, because in general forum readers are not that interested in "you". They are here for the content.

I had no idea the mods would put up with intentional rudeness... amazing. Lucky the content here is pretty good.
