Delete visitor messages?

I have a number of older visitor messages in my Profile. None of which are relevant now, or offensive. Just old. They have been 'deleted' by removing the text, but they are still there.

There is a pulldown at the bottom of that page, which has 'Moderation tools': Approve, Unapprove, Delete, etc. There is probably a checkbox visible to an admin or mod, but not to me, the user. Without that I can't select the message to completely delete it.

Is this an oversight? I can delete messages NO ONE can see, (Private messages), but I can't delete a message EVERYONE can see on my personal profile?

Seems backwards. :)

Advise me.

The checkbox is at the rightside end of the header for each message. You have 9 messages, all deleted by you. Would you like them all permanently removed?

The checkboxes are there for you, but not for me. That's my point.

Yes, sure, I'd like them deleted (I'm compulsive about deleting used old files. In my work I must ONLY save that which is finished. These conversations have finished. :))

It brings me back to the original point, though: Why can't we do this?

good question. I had the same issue, and ended up turning off VMs just to get rid of the pointless boxes. of course now I can only get PMs, but that appears to be the way of the world of BFC.

I wondered the same thing. I deleted the message, buy now the skeleton is still there. It just looks bad.
