Wow. That looks like a very cool piece of history. Do you happen to know the birthday on that beauty?

I doubt it's a fake. It looks like an old, maybe even a pre-"H" Sebenza to me. It assuredly has no clip.

Time to channel your inner Paul Harvey, and tell us the Rest of the Story! :D

PLEASE!!!!!

Hehe. I can assure you this is 100% legit, and bought originally directly from CR in the VERY, VERY beginning. One owner since then until now. (Not me unfortunately)
A very unique piece, and probably one of the most collectible Sebenzas out there. Was called the "Titanium folder" back then, don't know when Sebenza started to be used as a name.
Congrats!! Wonderful piece.

That right there is one of the most original of OG Sebenzas, even though it wasn't called the Sebenza yet. I've only ever seen them mentioned in a couple other threads. Here's one of them. Apparently, they were made in 1988, so South African made.

What does the "21" stand for here? Is it just production numbers?

Thanks for sharing... the birth of the breed.... Now where is # 1? In Chris' collection??!!!Very 21 ish style blade.... Full circle,,,, so far........

What's a odds of that 21 being #21? Reminds me of the fake old coin joke where the Roman coin is marked 20BC.
Knowing the guy who bought it from Chris in 1988, I can assure you that is a very lucky co-incidence. He also bought 4 hollow handle knives at the time that are all #5...2 of which I now own. The other one of these "Sebenzas" seen on this forum is #30, which is in the USA. No idea where the others are, I hear Chris doesn't have any of this series from 1988. Very much handmade I assume.
Yes, it does have a clip on the other side. Congrats to the owner.

A picture is worth a thousand words:

This guy is legit! Has some of the most rare Sebenzas I've ever seen. So, no doubt he knows that this piece isn't a Fake CRK. :)
