Deleting old sale threads

If I ask nicely can I get some old sale threads deleted? (From 2014 and back - 2 or 3)

Send someone a PM and ask?

Or do they all stay forever?

We are not fond of deleting. It is a never-ending task. Once we begin, others will find reason to ask for their data to be cleaned up. I get the occasional request, and haven't seen it as valid.

It is easy to close a thread, and the envelope icon in the forum list gets a black bar across it. Some threads are problematic, and we move them offline. But not as a regular practice on demand.

OK - I get your point though I wish it was an available option (at least after a year - that they would just disappear). Not being a forum designer I would think that would free up some space but I don't know.
