I'm thinking about picking up a delica 4 in blue frn but can't pin the color down, some pics make it look a cool dark blue and others a sissy bright blue. Could any body get out the pre-k color wheel and tell the me the shade? Does the color wear off a little and that's why some look a shade different than others? I've already done a forum search and couldn't find anything (except more confusing pictures), but if there is already a post out there can I get a link? Thanks.

camera lighting can do a number on actual color of objects.

here is my blue delica next to my baby blue mini griptilian and dark blue mini presidio ultra USA

It's not as light or dark as some pictures show. It's an average of all that you see. Cameras usually white balance on the background and this leads to different backgrounds and lighting giving different shades of blue. I really like the shade of my blue Endura. The bladehq picture I found Google image searching is really close. No one I've shown has made a negative comment, most really like it. Purple is my next favorite and then BRG. Don't get poop brown or soon to be filthy white.

To my eyeballs, the top half of Blade-fiend's Delica is a pretty good representation of the true color.

Alright, I looked up the picture honed edge was talking about and the color of that and the one in the pic power noodle talked about are pretty much the same to my eyeballs. Looks like I'm getting a delica! Thanks for taking time out of your day to help a newb. ( I'm a newb because I don't have a delica right? Right.)

Sounds like you wont be a newb for long. I love the Delica/Endura. Very light, much tougher than expected, super easy to sharpen, good grip, beautiful, strong lock.... great knives that have been around in one version or another for a long long time.

Report back if you are loving the blue.

Pictures can be deceiving with the Delica's blue. I found it to be lighter than I expected, but it's a good blue shade. Darker than a baby blue and very pleasant. I tend to like darker blues, but I still like the Spyderco shade.
