Delica 4 clip problem

Howdy folks!
The other day, I wanted to check out my Delica 4 with tip-down.

The screws went in hard, and went so deep as to touch the blade and prevent opening.

So, like a curious guy, I disassembled it to see what was up (Warranty void I know).

Once inside, I realized that the female section of the threads that one of the screws goes into was tapped at an angle, and the FRN scale wasn't thick enough to keep the screws back from the blade.

Not a major thing. I carry tip up anyway, but still. Any of you seen this before?

I've had a couple cases where the screws were too long, and contacted the washers when I switched to TD carry, and a couple knives where the screw holes in the liner needed for LH/TD carry were not tapped, but never both issues on the same knife. Screws are an easy fix, just file them shorter, a little at a time, until they don't rub anymore.

I've thought about just buying the Delica hardware kit at some point. That would probably fix both of my issues at once.

My Centofante 4 is like this. I would prefer to carry it tip down but I cannot due to the factory clip screws making it difficult to open. I've seen one or two Delicas like this too....out of about 40 different Delicas.

I had a Tenacious that had something similar when the clip was mounted for tip-down carry. I just moved it back to the position for tip-up carry. It was actually pressing against the washers while in the tip-down carry position.

Same as my Cento 3. It was very stiff to open at first and I thought it would loosen after a lot of opening and closing. I cleaned it, lubed it and it's still stiff but after I set the clip for tip-up carry, there was a very big difference and it open and close smoothly.
