Hi all, was hoping someone could help me out with a problem I am having. My Delica blade is very stiff and is almost impossible to open one handed. When I try to "wave" it open it rarely opens far enough to lock back. I was reading on the Spyderco forum the best way to loosen up the blade is to loosen the pivot screw and lockbar screw. I have no idea where the lockbar screw is. if someone could explain where it is or take a photo that would be awesome.

Also, if anyone has any other suggestions on how to make the knife easier to open it would be much appreciated. I also have the Endura 4 Emerson and it opens rock solid every time and I do not have any of the issues I'm having with the Delica. Thanks in advance!

There talking about this screw (I know it's a pin on mine)

My only tip for opening is to turn the knife in your pocket (when it's clipped) counter clockwise so the wave can catch the pocket easier....you might of already known that lol.

Awesome, thank you! I'm guessing it would be clockwise if carried in the left pocket then? I've just been pulling straight back, ill try the rotating thing.

My experience waving is that it takes a little practice. Once you get it, its almost second nature. If you're relying on the wave, especially for SD, be aware that it may not open perfectly every time and be prepared to open it all the way.
