Ok folks, I've been collecting knives for a while now, and have settled into Spyderco being my choice for EDC. I still have other knives, (Hinderer, Alan Davis, etc) but Spyderco is the current favorite. I have a fair sampling of the line that I like, but didn't have a Delica until a few weeks ago. As much as I love my PM2's, Dominos, Manix2's, Salts, etc. I am thinking that the size of the Delica is just about perfect for an EDC knife for me. For just around the house or town, I think it is just a fantastic blade. I now have three, and am probably going to order a couple/few more.

A question I have though is: Are all the more recent Delicas made of VG-10? I have the ZDP-189 version (might have to get a back-up for this), and was wondering if it is/was/will be available in any other steels?

Thanks! :)

There is a Damascus bladed delica, both titanium handles and jigged bone if I recall.

There was a sprint run of Aogami Super Blue Delica's a month or so ago. There may be some floating around out there still, or maybe try frequenting the exchange.

Cant say they would be easy to find though...

Thanks guys, the Spyderco Damascus just doesn't look right to me, I know, I'm weird. I will have to keep a look out for the Super Blue version though.

Of course a 110V version would be unbelievable though! A guy can dream, can't he? :)

The Super Blues are pocket lasers! They are laminated with 420J1 steel though, which scratches pretty easily. Love the patina though. Excuse the checkered pants... Part of my culinary school uniform. :)

I personally dream of a CPM Cruwear version, as a matter of fact, I dream of all spydercos in a CPM Cruwear version:D I'd be one poor mofo...
