I'm amazed at what Spyderco comes out with every year. Last year I was all about EDCing my Paramilitary 2 and the year before that was my blue Delica 4 ffg. Now I find it almost impossible to put down my Southard and Techno.

So I start taking a look at the 2013 Catalogue and there were a few models that caught my eye, but the one that really caught my attention was the Ti Delica in Damascus. So I thought to myself, what an awesome looking knife, but it looks like it would be way too expensive and forgot about it.

Today I went on the GPK website and see it on preorder for only $150! I can't afford not to buy it! Going to put a preorder on that damn gorgeous looking knife ASAP. Any sort of ETA on when it will be available? Details? Pictures? I'm really excited about this one, and that flipper that Eric designed.

What do you guys think about this new Delica? Got any other must have Spydercos for 2012?

I predict between September and November. Seeing as how there is a shortage of PM2s on the market and other models, I think Spyderco is having a problem meeting demand. Considering the Ti and Damascus I feel it will take longer to get to the market, Spyderco is a small company and I love their ambition, its why I keep coming back to them.

But I feel the Ti Delica will come out close to winter of 2013.

I was also amazed at the relatively low price on this model given the materials. Might have to snag one.

Will this be a regular model or is it a sprint run? I want one badly... But trying to decide when to order.

The catalog didn't list it as a sprint, so I would guess regular. Although, literally everyone is going to buy these so I feel they will be on back order for ages just like the Military Ti and Native Ti.

Para 2's are made in Golden Colorado. The Delica 4 would be made over in their Seki City plant, Japan. So I would guess that we could see it more by mid summer.

I am really surprised by the price, and by the location of the clip. I wonder why they moved the clip so far down the handle and the lanyard hole to the tip. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me, as more of the knife will be exposed, and shiny, exposed metal draws attention.
