Steve,
Can you do a clip for a Delica 4 without me sending you the knife? I just ordered the Spyderco Delica in Brown FRN and I think the Dark Bronze clip would look great.

Thanks.

No sir I cannot. Actually I did a couple of low riders for that one early on but quit doing them shortly afterwards because the spacing of the holes is such on that one that it really makes for a weaker clip than I like, and the low rider effectively blocks the lanyard hole completely on these models so some back out once they learn of this. A low rider can be done to fit it though and I have done them for those still wanting them after learning the facts about them and deciding to mail me the knife. Thanks for asking though.

This thread was started earlier in 2010. At the time I did not have the means to make a clip for this knife without the actual knife in hand. At this time I have a Para Military 2 of my own which uses the same mount pattern as the Delica 4 and Endura 4 and perhaps others in Spyderco's line up of folding knives. I can now use my Para Military clip to make fold over clips for the other knives using this clip pattern without the need for the knife to be mailed to me but I will need to know the fold over point which is different from model to model. This means you will have to give me the measurement, preferably in mm from the middle of each of the two wider set holes of the three used to mount your factory clip, to the end of the folder or to the first point where the clip would overhang off the spine or the end of the knife which ever comes first. See this post here and click the link posted by Fred here to see what I refer to. Thanks http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8218529&postcount=4

Steve, thanks for following up on an old thread. I actually saw a post on Spyderco's forum yesterday where someone indicating ordering a lowrider for a Delica.

As indicate I have a Brown FFG Delica 4 that I carry right hand tip up. Would you still need measurements?

I need the questions from my work order form answered to make the clip. All the answers to your questions can be found here as well as what I need to know so visit this sticky post. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=525771 and once done we'll go from there after I know what I need to know to make one up for you. As to your immediate question. I know the measurement for the tip up carry position but not tip down. So, I'd need it if its tip down so I know where to make the 180 degree fold over. Thanks

Thanks. Order form sent using the .pdf. Can you confirm you've received it? I could not tell if it was sent.
