Been working on prototyping a set of Delica 4 scales for a member here on the forum. Here is a latest revision milled out of Micarta. Just thought I would throw this out there and get all of your opinions. Like i said this is a work in progress not the final product. More tweaks need to be done to the CNC code for a final fitment.

Excellent work. I'm not really a fan of the Delica, but I'd definitely be interested in something like that for the FRN Stretch.

im trying to figure out what a set of these will be worth when complete. Can you guys offer any advice as to an honest value you would place on them. I will have several paterns and primarily they will be made of G10 as the micarta is not strong enough for the back spacer "nub".
The possibility of making a Ti backspacer is in the works and you could couple that with a set of micarta scales, but that is down the road. I need to sell some g10 to pay for the time invested already before I start into Ti.

I would pay quite a bit for purple g10 for delica and endura/matriarch. Maybe somewhere around 80 for a set? although im not sure what the cost to you are and if thats a reasonable price.

It would be hard for me to pay more than $50 or so since that is what the knife was. I think 40 is probably reasonable since it is a smaller scale compared to a lot of other knives. You could probably get more scales per sheet than say doing it for a longer/wider knife.

Cost of materials is miniscule in comparison to time for development and time for actual machining. The delica has a whole set of issues that come along with it, like the scales need to be machined from 2 sides to allow for the pocket for the liner. Also the back spacer is a large challenge due to the design of the lock spring interface

Would it be easier to just retain the FRN backspacer? I know I'd be willing to go $60-$70 for a set of micarta scales that would work with the FRN Stretch's liners and backspacer.

I am picturing a nice waved Endura with a set of these on It!:D I think $40 - $50 would be reasonable, but cheaper is always better.;)

Wow looks really cool. I wouldn't mind getting one of these scales for my Delica in the future.

That looks amazing and I would love to see that offered. Great job and that would be close to a grail Delica for me.
