Well i decided i am either going to buy a delica or a mini grip i wanted to see everyones opinions on both knives and witch one i should buy or any other sugestions around the same size same price point much thanks Aaron:):):):)

Ive got 4 mini grips, but Im really wanting one of the new flat ground delicas in gray. Get them both.

i say go for the grip, i wasnt impressed with the cutting power of my endura at all

The new Delicas are really nice. Any of the colors is a winner - I like the blue and gray personally.

I have no experience with Spyderco knives, but I am sure that either will be a winner and quickly become a favorite. I own a 556 and love the little knife, light, nimble, good steel, and a great lock. Factory edges leave something to be desired, but I re-profile all my knives any how. The FRN handle looks cheap compared to G10 but it is respectable and the feel is good. You get a lot of knife for your money with a mini grip. If you put a high value on gimping, the grip will disappoint there, something I have never heard about a spyderco knife.

They are both great, even iconic knives- you really need to get both eventually. I carried a Delica for over 10 years- but I've carried a Mini-Grip for the last 5. I would not be disappointed to go back to the Delica, but the Mini is my favorite based on feel in the hand, blade profile (looks- the Delica works just fine, possibly a little better slicer especially if you get the flat grind), and the Axis lock which makes the knife amazingly quick and easy to deploy and put away, and is just too much fun.

I handled a Mini-Grip in a store before I ended up buying the Delica. The handle was just a smidge too short and I have small hands. The Delica is almost perfectly sized.

I also did not like that the Griptilians had bulbous handles instead of flat, especially on the large version.

Last I checked I found lower prices on the Delica.

But hey, I'm a Spyderco guy. I really want to like some Benchmades and even played with them in stores but they just never pushed me over into buying. Maybe some day.

I have both a yellow 556 & FFG Delica and both serve me well. Like mentioned, the Delica has a bit more handle which is important to many and it's also slimmer by a good margin. With the mini you almost feel like you are getting an "extra" feature in the Axis lock, that's how fun they can be to manipulate.
Not sure how hard you will use a knife this size, but the Delica will have a little more flex than the mini. Not wimpy by any means, but a product of being slimmer. The handles on the mini are tank-like and fat for the size of the knife.
Can't really say one is better than the other though that's why I have both!

I own 1 Mini-grip and 4 Delicas. The delica rides in the pocket better than the mini-grip does due to how thin the handle is. I also prefer the delicas blade shape and lower street price. However i like the axis lock better than a lockback.

The new FFG Delicas beat the mini grip. Full flat grinds are just amazing to cut with. I'm still partial to my sheepsfoot mini grip. It has nowhere near the vertical blade play of a delica. But then again, with the delica you get a full four finger grip instead of the mini grip's three.

I prefer the Delica.
It rides in the pocket a little nicer, and the new flat ground ones out slice many knives.
I have had a mini grip, and would get one again. Both great!

I have both and although I consider myself a big Spyderco user, I have to give it up to the Mini-Grip. Much smoother action overall and the Axis lock is just great, no blade play whatsoever.

I have both and for me the Delica is the one I carry most. I really like the mini grip but the handle is just a bit too short for my comfort. If it were just a bit bigger it would be perfect.

Both great knives, as everyone says. The mini-Grip is a bit thicker, so if you plan on IWB carry or some other kind of carry where that will be a factor, think about that.

Stock form, I found the Delica nicer to use, but the Mini-Grip to have a nicer lock.

When you throw the FFG and colourful D4s into the mix, the Mini Grip no longer competes.

D4 was my first high-end knife. It still amazes me how refined the design feels.

I agree. I also have both and think the MiniGrip is the best of the two.

Delica.

The M-G's got great blade shapes and the lock is nice but the handle is too short and feels plasticy cheap.

Just to add to my post a bit. I've handled both (but not the FFG yet) and the Delica has more handle room. I wear a size medium glove and the Delica was a full hand knife and the Mini Grip was a three finger knife. BM factory edges are pretty bad, I have one that came in at about 20* one side and 15* on the other side. And was pretty uneven, has a spot where it looks like the edge is at about 40* on the one side, it's a half inch length of blade where it looks like a microbevel but insanely fat. So with BM's, their factory edges suck, sorry to burst any bubbles.
If you have the ability to reprofile the Mini Grip with it's axis lock is a lot of fun.
But if you only have a SM (like I do) you'll need some wetdry and patience to reprofile it to a sharpenable state on the SM.

I loved my delica 4, and own a FULL sized grip. I prefer the delica but i like the mini grips lock. All in all i'd go with the spyderco.
