Anyone use a Delica 4 with one of Casey's short deep carry clips? I have heard that the longer clips are designed for the Delica 4 or others with FRN handles, but why? I want to show the least amount of clip as possible. What are the disadvantages of using a short clip on the Delica 4? Anyone have pics of one? Thanks

They are "made" for the FRN handles because the FRN handles have a smooth spot where the clip should contact the handle. So what ever the length from screw holes to that 'patch' are accounted for in the design.

^yep, nailed it.

Why is this so? Thanks

Because the short clip presses down directly on the bidirectional pattern, the long one presses down on the flat spot in the middle of the scale, so much better.

Are we clear? :D

Will it fit yes.

Will it shread your pocket faster? YES.
It will also have great retention because your pulling against the bidirectional.

Here is a Casey long clip on a Delica.
And as you can see the contact point is on the flat spot.

Can you tell me the length of this clip? Thanks

I used a short one on my delica. I just took some sand paper to the frn before installing. Works perfect
