Delica 4 zdp-189 fake?

Sorry if this has been discussed before but have ever been any fakes/clones of Delica 4 ZDP-189 seen in the market? I am thinking about getting one and just want to make sure.

Yes there are clones of this model in zdp-189 sadly. Be sure if you buy used that the original buyer got one from an authorized dealer.

And you can tell the difference by looking at the pics of the actual knife.

It just looks different. I've handled many Spydercos over the last 30 years and I just know a fake when I see one. Shoot me a PM with the link and I'll let you know...

Bought more than few Enduras (incl. ZDP) from big river & was lucky. None was fake.

There are some Youtube videos that show some of the differences between knock offs and the real ones. Some things are very subtle but can be spotted in an up close picture. One thing I saw in a video was the edges on the torx screws on a fake looked very sharp and defined whereas the real Spydies' torx screw's edges looked softer. Buying used always carries some risk. Get as much information from the seller as possible and get pics if possible as well.
