Delica's been around since 1990 or so.
Current version is called Delica 4. This version came out a few months ago, replacing a version which didn't have an official name other than "Delica", but is now generally referred to as Delica "3". Delica 4 improved on Delica 3 in several aspects. It's got a different blade shape to to strengthen the tip, a larger Spyderhole for easier blade deployment, screw assembly so you can take it apart for cleaning, steel handle liners, jimping, tip-down/tip-up carry, and some other features. You can read about all the improvements at
www.spyderco.com. Click on Catalog, then Knives, then scroll to Delica.
Delica bladesteel is VG-10, which is great steel. But Spyderco very recently released a limited run version with ZDP-189 steel which by many reports is superior to VG-10 and perhaps is the best stainless blade steel available altogether. The jury is still out on this, though. The ZDP-189 version (BTW - has a blue handle) is being resold at prices higher than original retail by some, but is available AFAIK at retail from a few internet based authorized dealers. It's my understanding that Spyderco is considering doing another, larger run of the ZDP-189 version because it's been so well received.
Generally, the Delica 4 has been extremely favorably reviewed and is seen as a terrific, "best in class" value.
