Delica blade moving around on me

For normal edc the delica is just about the perfect knife for me. My issue is when I try to add a little force to the cut like when making fuzz sticks. I notice the blade and lock are moving around on me. The only thing I can think of is that my hand is disengaging the lock. Any tips on hand position or where to apply pressure? I guess I'm just not accustomed to lock backs yet.

I wish all lock backs were Tri-Add locks!

Once you get used to absolutely no movement, even with a lot of pressure, you start to he annoyed with it. I have a few lock backs now where it annoys me!

Sometimes tightening the lock bar pivot screw will help lessen or eliminate vertical play in lock backs.

Also, tighten your grip screws. That will have a big effect on the lock and blade, very often.

Take it apart, wash it out with warm water and dish soap, dry well, lube where appropriate (mineral oil works fine and is cheap), reassemble (maybe a touch of blue loctite if you prefer), and put her back together. A lot of times, that does the trick (or at least makes an improvement).
