Delica blade swap?

I have a Stainless handle delica with a full spyder edge. Is it possible to swap the spyder edge blade for a zero grind vg10 blade? I realize that the SS delica is pressed and would have to be done at the factory, but has anyone here done this yet or inquired to spyderco directly if they offer this service?

I doubt Spyderco will do it.

my first thought is to swap the entire knife for a PE, then get someone to put a FFG regrind on it.

I think if you re-grind the serrated blade you'd lose too much steel...?

Just an FYI 90% of the time when you do a blade swap you also have to do the back lock too as the blade/lock bar combo is fit to eachother. Just another aspect to keep in mind if your planning on doing it yourself.

I can tell you for certain that Spyderco would not do it. They don't do blade swaps, or any other type of custom work aside from laser engraving. And, for the record, they don't make a zero grind Delica blade either, just a full flat grind. Think mattmanyam's suggestion is the most realistic way to get what you want. Sell the SE, get a PE, then have the PE reground to FFG/zero edge. There are a number of people out there who do regrinds.

Thank you for your responses. I was mistaken when I said I wanted a zero grind, what I meant was a full flat. Oh well, looks like I'm SOL.
