Hey all,
Well, I must have misplaced my Delica (ATS-55 version)
, as I haven't seen it for a month or so, and I'm really bummed out about it. This was my only Spyderco, but I really liked it.
My question is, how do the Calypso Jr and Centofante III compare to the Delica. I am tempted to get another Delica, as the VG-10 version sounds pretty cool, but if I find my old one then I'll have two Delicas. Not a bad thing, certainly, but the other two also sound nifty, and I would like to try one of them out, too. My budget only goes so far...
I like the blade shape on the Centofante, and the flat grind of the Calypso. I have only seen them once, briefly, but have never used either of them. The Centofante seemed to have a fairly thin blade, but I don't pry very much with my knives.
I used my Delica at work, around the house, as well as outdoors on hikes, fishing, and camping. Gets dirty and oily at work, cutting tie-wraps, twine, cable insulation, boxes, stuff like that, but sharpens and cleans up well. I didn't have it for a very long time, but it really grew on me, and made a great companion to a SAK and Leatherman Wave! A very do it all combo!
I'm carrying a Gerber EZ-Out as my one-hander at the moment, nice knife but not quite the same. Any input would be appreciated.
