Just got my first Spydie...a Delica PE VG-10.

Now what do you guys recommend to clean, maintain and keep it tickin' ?

Thanks for your thought.

I would clean my SE VG 10 Endura with some warm water and a drop or two of some dishwashing liquid.

The pivot point I usually lube with some teflon based bicycle chain oil...works well for me...better than White Lightning...

I use some rags from my granny's underwear, they do a smooth job :)
Now, seriously, the Delica is a fine knife, it works without special maintenance and can and usually takes a lot of abuse. I even heard someone saying that the only care he took for his two years old Endura was to wipe it on his jeans now and then (!).
However, the Delica just loves a bath with some neutral detergent and a drop of oil from time to time. And of course, some grit stone now and then.

If the truth be known, the FRN Spyderco knives are about as close to maintenance-free as you can find in a folding knife.
It's like the AK-47 of the knife-world.
While I do baby my Endura abit, my wife never cleans her Delica. She wears it nearly everyday or throws it in her purse (the black hole of Carolina) and hardly ever cleans the blade (even after cutting tape or other sticky stuff).
I clean it up for her about once every three months, and I'm amazed that it usually is still "working sharp" and functions just fine.
It really is fairly maintenance-free.

Good luck,
Allen.

Marine Tuf-Cloth for the blade, Tuf-Glide for the pivot. And when the blade needs polishing, I use Flitz metal polish. :D
