greetings all,
picked up a delica clip-it, never used, last week at a gun show for 10.00. guy was liquidating his table. obviously, couldn't resist. my question is were they made in AUS-8? i'm not concerned it's a fake but thought they were always VG-10. says seki-city japan and spyderco aus8 stainless on the other side. u.s. and foreign patents on the clip. no boyd on the lock release. was wondering if anyone would know a date range on this one. thanks for any info and best regards to all.

They were made in AUS-8, I have one I bought new many years ago. Does yours have a metal clip or is it molded as part of the handle? If it is metal, is it held on with three screws or with a single barrel bolt?

First Spyderco I purchased had the molded clip. It took a lot of abuse and it was AUS8. Late 1980s or early 90s.
