I just got a pe delica od black blade, and it seems "flimsy" to me, I carry a BM 690 every day and I was wondering if anyone has had problems with the FRN, also any spydercos built similar to the 690? I am thinking of getting one of these three, military, paramilitary or folding ronin...

You can't go wrong with the Military. The Delica will hold up well.I think it looks week too compared to the pre98 Delicas.

Isn't FRN a resin with bits of fiberglass impregnated in it. This should be plenty strong. FRN is not a cheap plastic, but a high tech material. It can be molded and formed. I have a Delica that I carried for years and I like FRN better than stainless. I have been spoiled by the lightness and I like the grip that it gives me in my hand. It is so light in my pocket that I hardly know that it is there. :D

the FRN version is a tough little sucker - I work construction and Im constantly using it to open bags of cement, shave sheetrock, etc., It loves the work!

good to hear... I really like the light weight... one reason I bought it.. have a discontinued walker but it is heavy... aluminum and steel... Love the vg-10 on the delica, very sharp otb...
