Could someone post a comparison photo of the Endura and the Delica please?

I know there must be one in the archives but I haven't been able to find it as of yet. A quick picture would help.

If possible please show a side and top view of both together.

I have an Endura but am considering getting a Delica for more "delicate" situations (work).

If there is already a link to something similar, please post it for me.

Thanks for your help.

I don't have a picture, but the Delica is EXACTLY like the Endura, only smaller. If you like your Endura, and want a smaller vervion of the SAME folder, then the Delica is what you want.:).

BTW...I have both, and they DO make a GREAT pair!

Thanks but I didn't take the pic :)
Should have mentioned that before (sorry!)
I just typed "Delica Endura" into Google's image search.

Thanks for the image Think.

I ordered one. It should be perfect for what I need. I don't know if it will be "exactly" proper for work but I like to have a knife with me.

I still am looking for a picture of the thickness (top view). I am guessing that it will be the same as the Endura though.

I have both my Endura and Delica (both are FRN) sitting here in-front of me, and the Endura is alittle thicker in both the blade, and in the scales, but not by a "whole-bunch". The total thickness difference is about the thickness of a dime.

The Delica really IS a shrunk-down version of the Endura.

Cool.

Thanks glockman.

I'm really looking forward to adding it to my collection. It will quickly become the EDC I'm guessing.

Now ... what's next on the list?

Hi all. Actually, the Delica is not a shrunk down Endura. They were two different designs using the same principles and "Spirit".

If you were to just shrink down a model, it doesn't seem to work as well. The hole distance from the pivot, for example, becomes too short. If you shrink down an Endura and place it over a Delica, you will see there are many differences. The "cockpit area" is very close to the same size, despite the size difference in the two models.

Some of the past models were just shrunk down, such as the Wegner, and many found that it didn't fit the normal sized hand as well.

The Ladybug is a shrunk down Endura, where as the Jester is a knife that was designed to be a small knife. I think most will agree that the Jester fits the hand more effectively. The Calypso and Calypso jr share the same cokpit size and the length comes from the extended ends. The Rescue and smaller version are also separate designs.

hope that helps.

Glockman - No Chinook yet. I am waiting for the Ronin first. Then the Civilian. Then that Rescue 93mm. Then ...

"My name is Wes and I have a problem. It all started when I got the SS Police model. I just don't know what happened."

Sal - This is the reason I come to this board so often. Input straight from people that know what they are talking about. I don't think I have received any bad information (save for the need to collect more knives) from anyone here. Ask and ye shall receive. And better still, you get to hear from the head honcho himself. Too cool.

Sal,

Thank you for this informative post.

Folks,

I find the Delica somewhat different from the Endura in blade style. The Delica has a straight spine that I find most appealing whereas the Endura kind of curves down to the tip, and I don't think this looks quite as nice (to me personally).
