For a very long time, my only Spyderco was a first variation, much-modified Police model, which came to me as part of a trade. Too big to be very useful as an EDC.
My son works in a shop which has purchase agreements with many mfrs, including our pal Glesser's. A few weeks ago he showed me a list of the models he could get, and asked which I'd recommend. I pointed to the very basic Delica, and told him he'd never let it leave his pocket if he got one. Now, I have a bunch of good lockers and slippers, so this old man doesn't really NEED another knife. But I confess I was envious of his chance to start off right with a Spyder. Today he surprised me with a belated Dad's Day gift of the very knife I'd recommended. Now THAT's a nice thing for a son to do for his old Dad!
The new knife is nestled in my pocket now. Beautiful little cutter, fit and finish the usual Seki City quality. I'm no end pleased. Thanks to Sol for participating in the program with my son's business!

Congrats on your new Delica. Sounds like you've raised your son right!:D:thumbup:
