Yes its going to bury the knife in the pocket to both make it hide away so its not advertising its a knife in your pocket and allow the user the added advantage of a knife in the pocket less prone to 'top heavy' carry. Some knives have so much of the end sticking out that it makes them seem almost top heavy and these poke you in places when bending over at times ,and more importantly for some they tend to bang on keys or flashlights or prybars, pocket tools etc etc if you carry them off your belt loop or something like that where the other item hangs down right over your folder.
After doing I don't know how many clips for folks its apparent to me at this point in time that most folks don't much care for big pocket clips these days even if the knife they carry is big. Most want a clip that doesn't necessarily give the outside sheeple folk looking at it any idea of the size knife in the pocket. It seems they would rather disquise the fact that their knife is bigger by having a smaller clip than you would expect. Some and a higher percentage than I'd have guessed, would rather folks even wondered if the clip was on a pen or a knife and prefer them small as possible but this is not as popular as just blending the clip to look like it belongs there and curves to fit the handle. Seems big gaudy clips are frowned on by some but not all. Some like 'Fat Boy' clips as I call them but these are called for infrequently. This may be a sign of the times we live in though more so than personal preference due to tastes. Its very possible that a majority actually like bigger clips but just feel they can't have that on their frequent carry folder at work, or in public places.
I also get a lot of requests for khaki and blue jean blue clips just to give a bit of 'urban camo' blending effect to them on slacks. Again, a sign of the times I think.
