I just wanted to give a shameless shoutout to Steve aka Boomer52 for his amazing work on a few Delicas for me.
I contacted Steve a few months ago and asked him about doing a set of punisher scales for a good friend of mine. I was so impressed by Steve's communication and further more his previous work I just had to order a set for myself also.
Steve made it VERY CLEAR that this is only a hobby for him and does scales for fun in his free time.
I've had scales from about a dozen different makers and to say I was impressed with his work would be an understatement! Perfect fit & finish and installation was a breeze.
It seems Steve doesn't advertise and likes to keep things low key. I can't recommend him enough and I wouldn't hesitate to order more in the future.
I'll let Steve post the link to all of his work if he so chooses but for now here's the 2 sets I ordered!
Toxic Green Punisher W/ Stridica Pattern

Black Gatorscales W/ Hunter Orange Liners

If anyone else has a set of Boomer52's scales post em up!

Agree 100%! Have some myself but not on spydies.

Post them up! Yea realized after I posted I shouldn't have put this in the Spyderco forum. Maybe a mod can move it to general and I'll change the title also.

Here ya go then! The 7 has a laminated back spacer as well from boomer.

LOVE the shape of the toxic green ones, but prefer the texture of the black ones. Might have to seek out an Endura set from Boomer52

Just tell Boomer52 you want the Stridica pattern (squared bottom) with gatorscale texture! You'll get exactly what you want.

Great pics. I've got a set on the way for a Delica. This thread makes me wish they were here.

Here's mine...amazing fit & finish!

I had something lined up for a set from him a year or so ago. Waited and waited and waited for my slot to come up but when I finally got a reply again he said he was taking time off. I asked him to let me know when he started taking orders again because I was really committed to the project. I thought he was too as he had done several mock-ups for me so I know he had some time in. I still haven't heard back. I guess he is no longer interested.

His work is really nice though.

man , im loving that Toxic Green Punisher

I'll give a word of warning on toxic green. I bought a set of toxic green punishers from boomer for my Delica. It was also the Strydica shape. They were incredible looking. Fit perfectly. Very very clean lines all around. My issue was the color in person was not the same as in pictures. Mine looked pea green. I wanted lime/toxic. Again, awesome quality. I wish I would have ordered them in black or some other color other than toxic.

This was before the custom set plans went south.

I can assure you the toxic green set I received for my Delica and Rat 1 were vibrant toxic/lime green. They are actually brighter in person!

Lucky. The pics I was sent looked very vibrant as well. In person the set was NOT. Boomer explained it was lighting, etc. so I took a few pics in different light and they did look more vibrant than in person but they didn't look as bright as in his pics.
