I am really crazy about VG-1O steel. To be honest,I can't tell the difference between ATS-34(154CM) and VG-10 steel when comparing edge-holding ability, but the edge which VG-10 take is much better than ATS-34,even BG-42.I have two Calypso lightweight.

After browsing Spyderco website,I found something interesting--Delica blades are harder. They are RC60~62.Is it correct? Anyone knows about it? IMHO,it make sense to heat treat shorter blades harder. And I like it.
Thank you for your time.

I dunno about the blade hardness, but it really cuts like no tomorrow. I love my VG10 Endura.

Hi IssTaipei. We've been running the VG-10 in the 59/60 range. We'll have to update the site. Thanx for the input.

We're pleased that you like VG-10. When we first tested the steel, we were also impressed. That's why we introduced the steel to the world in the Moran Model. I promised Bill Moran that I would make his knife out of a steel worthy of his reputation.

Hey Sal, did you ever update the site?
I was looking there for Delica hardness and don't see it.
Had to search here to find.

HI Lavan. We no longer include Rc. There is too much controversy and different opinions on what is and isn't, can be done and not be done, etc. I think that most people do not understand Rc.

We use optimal hardness for each steel. For most of the steels we use it will be in the 58-60 range
