Delica in VG-10

Has anyone used the Delica in VG-10 for an extended period? I have a Delica in ATS-55 and would like to know if it's worth getting the new steel. Also, is the blade length on the new steel acutally under 3" from the handle to the tip? (Need to know for legal carry.)

I did try out the Endura in VG-10 (I need to swap it, so it's in the mail somewhere).
I've tried the blade on one of those cardboard box (a decent size one). It's folded up so it's like 2 layers. I put it on the serrations, draw back a bit to the plain edge, and pushed the blade down. The cardboard separated in half cleanly.
Never seen a blade that does that. Definately something that has to do with Spyderco and their VG-10
