Stuck my Delica in a vice today to tighten the pins. Went a little overboard and now the blade barely opens, and it's impossible to open it with hand. Is there any way to fix this? So far I've tried a combination of WD40, Militec 1, constant opening and closing, torquing, etc. Even tried sticking a screwdriver in between the handle and the blade near the pivot. Tomorrow I will repeat a little more forcefully. And yes, I know warranty is beyond voided by now. I'd buy a new knife before sending a $40 one to be fixed.

have you tryed teh spyderco section? Theres good help in there :3
Hmm... I bought a Byrd a few days ago and its nabbed me already XD, and i thought my M16 was sharp.... =(

I don't know if there's any way to decompress the pivot  You could always drill the pivot out and put your own in.

Try flexing it side-to-side a bunch. That might stretch things back out.

I think that NeedleRemorse is probably correct ... carefully grind the pivot top off trying not to create too much heat and then replace the pin yourself.

Prying around with the plastic will just damage the plastic and not alter the pin at all IMHO ... plastic being softer than steel.

Bummer.

I think allenC has 'destroyed' a couple of knives in the past .. perhaps he can give you some of the tips and tricks that DON'T work :D ... these can be just as helpful as those that DO work.
